Hey guys!  I hope everyone is ready for Monday.  I can’t wait to share our weekly wrap up for The Firefly Challenge.  Are you participating along with us?  I sure hope so.  If you aren’t sure what the Firefly Challenge is check out my post here, as well as the printables here.  One of the main reasons I started the Firefly Challenge was to push my children to think of others.  We were too wrapped up in ourselves, often failing to notice those around us.

Have you taken the Firefly Challenge?

The challenge is paying off!  My girls are spending quite a bit of time looking for ways to help others, and they stay excited about it.  This week they actually did the challenge completely on their own.  Did you know Sunday was Parent’s Day?  I didn’t, but my oldest daughter found it on her calendar.  She decided to do a random act of kindness for us this week.  We woke up Sunday to the clanging of pots and pans in the kitchen.  We were treated to a yummy breakfast before Sunday School.  Of course I forgot to take pictures, mainly because I was hungry, and my oldest daughter is becoming an amazing cook.  It was a gentle reminder to me that sometimes kindness starts at home.  Are you participating in the Firefly Challenge? Be sure to post your pictures, and stories, in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
